John Foss’s family has selected multiple symbols, however the one I chose to illustrate was the yellow rose. The cherubic angel is enjoying the sweet fragrance of the flowers that are in the nearby clouds. I liked the movement in the composition, the way the arrangement balanced the action.  – Wayne Taylor
